Stephen M. LaMastra is managing principal partner of Monarch Investments, the retail affiliate of Crown Holdings Group, LLC. Mr. LaMastra has over two decades of experience in acquiring, developing, financing and managing real estate assets. Mr. LaMastra began his career at the Atlanta-based law firm of Alston & Bird where he focused his practice on corporate and real estate work in the areas of real estate lending and finance, project development, capital structure and asset acquisition and disposition.

Since leaving Alston & Bird, Mr. LaMastra has served as a CEO, president and COO in multiple companies in the retail, franchise and restaurant industries; which further developed his unique understanding of retail real estate. In addition, Mr. LaMastra has identified, overseen and executed over 50 mergers and acquisitions and has grown and engineered the sale of two companies for over $100 million.

Mr. LaMastra earned an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University where he was Student Body President. He earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University where he was a Vanderbilt Merit Scholar and Honor Council President. He serves on several charitable and community boards such as, the Coles Business School at Kennesaw State University, Children’s Museum of Atlanta (chair-elect), VSA Arts of Georgia (former chair), The Vanderbilt Fund, VSA Arts International (D.C.) and the Horizon Theatre (former chair).
